This San Clemente coastal painting found its home in the sweetest way: two kids, fresh from a surf lesson near Calafia Beach, had their mom buy it as a birthday gift for their dad.

Their family is from Austin and spending the summer by the beach. The painting will go home with them as a memory of California palms, ocean air, and a bright day in San Clemente.

Sold in person, right after it came off the easel.
